The People Behind Your Care

Our Team

Carl Healy

Carl Healy

Clinic Director
HCPC Registered CSP Member BSc Physiotherapy, Salford 2015

Clinical Background

Carl is Clinic Director at Urmston Physio Clinic, managing the day-to-day running of the practice alongside his clinical caseload. He graduated from the University of Salford in 2015 and has since developed a strong reputation for thorough, effective musculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Areas of Expertise

His clinical work focuses on musculoskeletal and neuromuscular physiotherapy, with particular interest in shoulder and pelvic dysfunction. He takes a movement-focused, evidence-informed approach, aiming to find the underlying drivers of a problem rather than simply addressing the surface symptoms.

Clinical Philosophy

Carl's primary aim is always to identify the underlying drivers of dysfunction, not just manage symptoms, and to restore optimal function that lasts. He works collaboratively with patients, ensuring they understand their condition and are active participants in their recovery.

Outside the Clinic

Carl is a keen runner and cyclist who regularly hikes in the Lake District. His background also includes white-water kayaking, ballet and extensive martial arts training, all of which inform his understanding of movement and physical performance.
Roxanna Healy

Roxanna Healy

Senior Physiotherapist
HCPC Registered CSP Member Newcastle Polytechnic, 1987

Clinical Background

Roxanna qualified from Newcastle Polytechnic in 1987, giving her nearly four decades of clinical experience. Her career spans two distinct disciplines: she began specialising in paediatric neurological physiotherapy, building deep expertise in complex neurological rehabilitation, before moving into musculoskeletal physiotherapy where she has worked as a clinical specialist for many years.

Areas of Expertise

She has developed extensive expertise in complex neurological rehabilitation and combines this with hands-on MSK practice to deliver care that is truly holistic and highly effective. Her breadth of experience is something few practitioners can match.

Clinical Philosophy

Roxanna brings a holistic, functional approach to rehabilitation, drawing on her neurological background to support patients with diverse and often complex presentations.

Outside the Clinic

At weekends Roxanna enjoys walks along the Formby coast, where she relaxes and watches the local red squirrel population amid the sand dunes and pine forest.
Diana Satalova

Diana Satalova

Biomechanics & Movement
HCPC Registered CSP Member BSc Physiotherapy, Brighton 2011

Clinical Background

Since graduating from the University of Brighton in 2011, Diana has continuously developed her knowledge and clinical skills, driven by a genuine passion for understanding how the human body moves, compensates, and heals.

Areas of Expertise

Diana has built a clinical focus on body movement, biomechanics, neuro-kinetic therapy and breathing therapy. She takes a full-body approach to assessment and treatment, working on the basis that the source of pain is often found somewhere other than where the symptoms are felt. This perspective has proved particularly effective for patients who have struggled to find answers with other practitioners.

Clinical Philosophy

Diana is committed to ongoing learning and regularly attends courses and seminars to develop her clinical skills further. She finds great satisfaction in seeing the positive impact that a well-targeted, thorough assessment and treatment plan can have on people's lives.

Outside the Clinic

Outside the clinic she studies languages, goes hiking, and attends health education events, a reflection of her genuine love of learning and continuous development.
